Bambu Lab A1 Mini vs Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2

The Bambu Lab A1 Mini and Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 are two of the most recommended affordable 3D printers of 2026 — but they sit at different points. The A1 Mini is the cheapest easy on-ramp into the hobby: around $200, open-frame, auto-calibrating, and dead simple. Final verdict

If you just want the simplest, cheapest way to start printing — and you'll mostly use PLA and PETG — the A1 Mini is the smarter buy and leaves money in your pocket. Step up to the Centauri Carbon 2 if you already know you'll want an enclosure for ABS and ASA, a larger build volume, or carbon-fiber materials. It's far more printer than its price suggests, with a slightly steeper learning curve.
