The best first printer in 2026. Small and PLA/PETG-only, but nothing else is this easy or this good at the price. Get the Combo for multicolor.

The A1 Mini is the printer to buy if you've never printed before. It sets up in about 15 minutes, calibrates itself completely — bed leveling, Z-offset, flow, vibration — and starts producing clean prints with zero tinkering. It's quiet enough for an apartment (under 48dB), hits 500mm/s, and with the AMS Lite (the $299 Combo) it prints up to four colors. The catch is size and materials: a 180mm bed (about the size of a cantaloupe) and an open frame that limits you to PLA, PETG, and TPU — no ABS.
