The best-built blanket in the class, at a mid-pack price.
Heat Healer Infrared Sauna Blanket
Heat Healer
Aramid fabric, meter-verified Faraday shielding, 96 jade and tourmaline stones, and a 3-year warranty make this the blanket to buy if you'll use it for years — as long as you can wrestle its 24 lbs. If you travel with your blanket or have limited mobility, go lighter.
Most sauna blankets are polyurethane shells with a heating wire; the Heat Healer is built like outdoor gear. The outer fabric is SGS-certified aramid — the heat-stable material used in firefighting equipment — wrapped around Nichrome far-infrared elements and 96 natural jade and tourmaline stones that spread heat evenly instead of striping it, up to a 176°F maximum. The shielding claim is the rare one that holds up outside the marketing page: grounded copper Faraday shielding that independent meter testing (mommypotamus, with a consumer EMF meter) could not distinguish from background. It's also the most size-inclusive blanket we researched — 75 inches long, rated to 6'6" and 300 lbs, with an extra-wide top flap that testers describe as a weighted-blanket feel rather than a plastic cocoon. The tradeoffs are physical. At 24 lbs it is the heaviest blanket in the class — repacking it into the (included) carry bag is a workout of its own, and Fit&Well flagged a strong heated-plastic smell for the first several sessions. The jade-stone mesh also needs more care to keep clean than a plain wipe-down interior. What you get back is coverage nobody else matches: a 3-year warranty plus a lifetime 50%-off trade-in, against the 12-month industry norm.

How we know
High confidenceLast checkedFit&Well's Lou Mudge tested it as the largest and most height-inclusive blanket in the group, praising the included pillow and carry case while calling it the heaviest and noting an early plastic smell. Light Therapy Insiders ran it head-to-head against HigherDOSE and picked Heat Healer on materials (aramid vs PU), warranty, and multi-zone temperature readouts. Mommypotamus independently meter-tested the Faraday shielding and found no measurable EMF increase over background. Forbes, Marie Claire, InStyle, and WSJ have also featured it.
