The premium do-it-all. Same Vitamix muscle as the 5200 plus a touchscreen, five presets, a walk-away timer, and jars the base auto-detects, under a 10-year warranty. It's heavy, loud, and pricey, but for top-tier blending with real convenience, it's the top upgrade.

The Vitamix A3500 is the premium upgrade for buyers who want Vitamix-level blending with a more polished interface, preset programs, and a higher-end countertop feel. It makes the most sense if you want a powerful blender that can handle smoothies, frozen drinks, hot soup, sauces, and thicker blends, but you also care about programs and a cleaner user experience. It is not the value pick, but it is the most complete premium option in this catalog.

The Vitamix A3500 is PickGrade's premium smart pick — the flagship of Vitamix's Ascent series and the choice for buyers who want top-tier blending plus modern convenience. It pairs a 1,400-watt (2.2-peak-HP) motor and 64-ounce jar with what the 5200 lacks: a touchscreen, five one-touch program presets (Smoothies, Hot Soups, Dips & Spreads, Frozen Desserts, and Self-Clean), and a programmable timer for walk-away blending — while still keeping a variable-speed dial for full manual texture control. Its SELF-DETECT containers carry a chip the base reads to auto-set safe blend times, and it connects wirelessly to Vitamix's app for 500+ guided recipes. Reviewers at Tom's Guide and Homes & Gardens rate it among the best blenders available, praising silky smoothies, hot soup, and a fast auto-clean cycle, and Vitamix backs it with a class-leading 10-year warranty. The honest caveats: it's very expensive (~$649, among the priciest blenders); it's heavy (~15 lb) and tall, so it may not tuck under cabinets; like all high-performance blenders it's loud (around 100 dB); a few testers found it merely good rather than great at oat milk and nut butter; smaller cups and bowls are sold separately; and Vitamix has since launched the newer Ascent X line, so the A-series sometimes appears reconditioned. For a do-it-all premium blender with presets and a long warranty, it's the top upgrade.
