A 4K monitor and a one-cable desk dock in one
Dell U2723QE UltraSharp 27" 4K

More desk hub than monitor, in the best way. The U2723QE is a sharp, color-accurate 27-inch 4K panel, and the real draw is the back: 90W charging, Ethernet, a USB hub, and a KVM on one cable. It's 60Hz with no speakers, but for a clean desk it's the value champ.
The monitor that replaces a docking station. The U2723QE gives you a sharp, factory-calibrated 27-inch 4K panel that's accurate enough for photo and video work, then hides a whole desk in the back: 90W laptop charging, Ethernet, a USB hub, and a KVM to run two computers from one keyboard, all over a single cable. It's a 60Hz panel with no speakers or webcam, so gamers and video-callers should look elsewhere, but for a tidy Mac or Windows workspace it's the best value here.

How we know
High confidenceLast checkedThe Dell UltraSharp U2723QE is the do-it-all desk monitor and PickGrade's overall pick, because it nails the things that matter for daily work: a sharp 27-inch 4K panel (~163 ppi), genuinely accurate color, and a built-in USB-C hub that turns one cable into your whole desk. It uses Dell's IPS Black panel for a higher 2000:1 contrast and deeper blacks than ordinary IPS, ships factory-calibrated, and covers 100% sRGB, 100% Rec.709, and 98% DCI-P3 — accurate enough for photo and video work, with average Delta-E under 1.5 in testing. The hub is the real draw: 90W USB-C charging for a laptop, RJ45 Ethernet, a stack of USB-A and USB-C ports, DisplayPort daisy-chaining, plus KVM and picture-by-picture to drive two computers from one keyboard and mouse. The stand is excellent, with height, tilt, swivel, pivot, and VESA mounting. The honest caveats: it's a 60Hz panel, so it's not for gaming and high-refresh fans will notice; there's no webcam or built-in speakers despite the price; HDR is entry-level (DisplayHDR 400, ~400 nits); and 27-inch 4K needs display scaling (around 150%) to keep text comfortable. For Mac or Windows productivity, coding, and color work on a single cable, it's hard to beat at this price.
